Linda Pierce began illustrating as soon as she graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design after inspiration from instructors such as Chris Van Allsburg ('Polar Express') and David McCauley ('How Things Work').
She began as a comp/storyboard illustrator for advertising firms throughout
Boston, and soon realized she most enjoyed illustrating for children. She has done work for nearly every major publisher across the United States, as well as several abroad.
In her brand new studio, she paints with her sheltie Mandy most often at her feet.
She enjoys the work of illustrators such as Mark Teague, and still prefers
dragging paint across a surface, but is also illustrating digitally with mounting enthusiasm. Who knew?
