Barbara Pollak is San Francisco based illustrator, author and painter who lives with an assortment of children, animals and fish.
Her clients have included: Girl's Life, Time For Kids, Scholastic, Lerner, Penguin Putnam, Rigby, Rodale Press, Random House, Harcourt Brace and many others. She has also created interactive cards, posters, games and textbook illustrations for children and teen markets. Pollak authored and illustrated a picture book about gardening, community and food called 'Our Community Garden' published by Beyond Words Publishing in 2004.
In 2011, Pollak and her husband co-founded Hard Boiled Industries, a new company which specializes in ipad/iphone/kindle and android based Apps for children.
In her free time she enjoys traveling, painting and collecting all things Japanese.
