Chihiro Yabe is an artist and illustrator currently living in Chicago with her husband and daughter. She enjoyed painting as a child. It became clear at an early age that she was destined for a career in fine arts. Her works can be described as realistic with a European and Japanese flavor. She became eager to start illustration work which stemmed from childhood memories of copying out of children's books. Through work in Japan such as a book cover for Paroru Publishing Company, greeting cards, post cards and stationary, she is now longings to do more illustration of books and book covers. Chihiro is a member of the Society of Illustrators Los Angeles, associate member of the Society of Children's Books Writers and Illustrators.
