Elizabeth O. Dulemba was beamed to this planet with a pencil in her hand.
When she stopped chewing on it, she started drawing, and drawing, and
drawing. Eventually she started talking and telling everybody about her crazy
dreams and ideas. 'Write it down,' they said, 'we don't want to hear it.' So
she did.
'Ha ha! I have the last laugh!' Elizabeth says, 'because now I do
this for a living!' Although she still chews on her pencil.

Elizabeth's first picture book, THE PRINCE'S DIARY, was named
No.1 2006 Valentine's Day Pick by BookSense. She is also the author of her latest, SOAP, SOAP, SOAP (bilingual). Elizabeth is Illustrators' Coordinator for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators Southern region, is on the board for the Georgia Center for the Book, and teaches 'Creating Picture Books' at the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina.
