Diana is a freelance illustrator with 20 years of professional experience. She holds degrees in Art Education (UIC), Illustration (Ray College of Design, Chicago, IL), and has also honed her drawing skills at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She spent the first half of her career in the areas of advertising and editorial illustration. Among the projects she completed were promotional materials for Brach’s®, Kraft Foods, Inc., Land O’Lakes®, McDonald’s and other nationally known U.S. companies. For the last ten years, she has been working largely in the area of children’s educational publishing, most notably for Harcourt Achieve, Pearson Education and McGraw-Hill Inc. Most recently, she has ventured into e-publishing, creating illustrations for an iTunes app of the classic 'Heidi' by Johanna Spyri, adapted by Katrin Draemann Barothy (http://justkidsapps.com/en). Currently, she is working on several picture book concepts for the trade book and e-publishing markets.
