I made this illustration to celebrate Thanksgiving, just some rabbits about to enjoy their pumpkin pie!
Our latest Illustration for Kids promo theme was the beach - just in time for summer! I decided to create another one of my rabbit characters and show some friends playing nearby as well. Here's a detail of the illustration so you can see the friends in the water.
This is the new image for my illustration group's Spring Mailer with the topic "rain". I pictured a scene in the park with a friendly dachshund puppy running over to meet the little girl with the umbrella. She's put her school bag down to greet him. I'm really enjoying working with Illustrator then adding texture and shading details in Photoshop.
It's time for the Illustration for Kids winter mailer, which means creating a piece of artwork for our promotional postcard with the theme of winter. We usually keep the topic pretty open so it's interesting to see what everyone in the group comes up with. I had fun creating my artwork using Illustrator then adding lots of texture and detail in Photoshop. Another new trick for me is filling an area, in this case the sled cushion, with one of my fabric designs. I like the way it creates a bit of a collage look.
Lately I've been working on creating a new digital style for my illustrations. The artwork is created in Illustrator, then brought into Photoshop for shading and texture, then back into Illustrator for some finishing details. Here are some samples with my new style. Sometimes it takes a new medium to help you develop a new look!
