I work in a wide range of styles for quite a variety of
topics - from realistic renderings of subjects in the
natural world, to looser and fun illustrations for
children's picture books, and silly cartoons in general.
I work entirely conventionally and traditionally; most of
my illustrations are on mounted watercolour paper, and
in a range of water-based media - watercolours,
gouache and acrylics... though I have been known to
stray into using alkyds and oils from time to time, and
even colour pencils on occasion.
I've illustrated many, many books - my own and for
other authors - heaps of silly greetings cards, and
many postage stamp issues for New Zealand and
other Pacific nations..... gee, where does the time go?
