My name is Matthew Finger. Since graduating from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1991 (BFA, Illustration), I’ve had the pleasure of creating numerous illustrations for a variety of projects. I maintain my studio in Providence, Rhode Island. Clients have included ad agencies, publishers, greeting card companies, as well as non-profit pro-bono work. Most of my illustration involves fun anthropomorphic characters in a children’s book vein. I am also utilizing my illustration in a line of children’s room décor items. (i.e. nightlights, switch plates, lamps, and steps tools.) I will also see my work on a line of place mats, puzzles and jigsaw puzzles. All the work is fleshed out in sketches (usually one or two rounds) and then executed on illustration board or watercolor paper using acrylic paint.
