Melina, unlike most Americans, has been gradually moving Eastward. Born in the San Francisco Bay Area in 1981, Melina has since made a slow voyage across the High Desert, through the Rockies, and has happily landed in Chicagoland.

Her love and pursuit of creative expression started early, and at the age of 30, there is only one thing she has done for 27 years straight: Draw.

Melina's passion for art became more focused during her years of study at Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado. Between 2003 and 2007 she exhibited her work at Rembrandt Yard Gallery and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. During this period she focused on large-scale, colorful oil portraiture. Her work can be found in many a private collection.
