Suzanne Beaky grew up in Gahanna, Ohio, and studied illustration at Columbus
College of Art and Design. Her expressive illustrations are commissioned by
children's book, magazine and educational publishers worldwide. She received
the Durham (N.C.) Arts Council Emerging Artist Award and the Ellen Dolan
Memorial Mentorship Award from the Society of Children's Book Writers and
Illustrators-Missouri. She now lives with her husband in Kirksville, Missouri.
