I am a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design, Toronto, with a major in Communication and Design. For the first ten years of my career I was a freelance designer in retail advertising. Looking for a more creative outlet, I took up lino-carving, an ancient printmaking technique similar to woodcut. I developed a unique style of art that led to a career in illustration. I have worked for a range of clients from advertising and corporate to editorial and publishing. My art appears on many book covers and interiors, packaging, posters, t-shirts, a TV commercial and a bus. My clients are located in Canada, the US and UK.

I particularly enjoy children's publishing and have created art depicting many folktales and legends from around the world. I have fully illustrated five picture books and contributed to many educational collections. I have been commissioned to create art for 'The Detroit Festival of the Arts' and the 'Waterloo Busker Carnival' for many years. My work was chosen to appear in the 2008 volume of Showcase '200 Best Illustrators Worldwide' and the 2002 'Communication Arts Illustration Annual.' In addition to printmaking, I am now exploring possibilities with oils and have embarked on the journey of writing and illustrating a picture book.

I feel very fortunate to earn a living doing what I love. When not in my studio having fun I pursue my passion for opera, yoga and cycling.
