Chris Beatrice
Chris earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, MA. He has worked professionally as an artist, art director and game designer, overseeing both large and small scale projects, and managing teams of artists, composers, sound designers and other creative people.
Chris' whimsical characters, magical landscapes and vivid imagery bring the magic of the fairy tale to young and old alike, recalling the Golden Age of children's book illustration. His art focuses on people and character, both figurative and portrait, with animals and creatures that are bursting with life. Myths, legends, folklore and fairy tales are the stuff of which his work is made.
Artist's Statement
“In my fairy tale pictures I strive to capture as much of the entire narrative as possible by incorporating as many key elements from the story as I can, while still sparking a sense of mystery and curiosity by not giving all the information, or connecting all the dots.”
