Marilyn Papas
Marilyn Papas is an illustrator-designer who works in watercolors, gouache and pen and ink. She has illustrated "Babysitter's Handbook", William Morrow and Co.Inc.,NYC; "A Pop-Up Musical Christmas", Banner Press, NYC; spot drawings for "The New Professional Chef" for the Culinary Institute in Hyde Park, NY; and other cookbooks, including cover art for Van Nostrand Reinhold, NYC. Marilyn worked as a stationery designer for Tiffany & CO. in NYC, and an art teacher at The Brookline Arts Center in Brookline, Mass. Her interests include ancient Egypt,which she has studied and toured the sites; ancient history and costumes; food illustration; and is interested in writing for children. Marilyn is a member of Children's Book Illustrators Group in NYC and Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. All works are copyrighted by the artist.
