Hazel Adams
Since graduating from the University of the Arts London and the University of Westminster, Hazel has focused her attentions on wildlife illustrations to reflect the passion she holds for the natural world, with the intention of inspiring others.
Taking two distinct forms, her illustrations offer detailed realism and character based subjects, the latter being explored through clever use of colour and texture.
Having completed work for BBC Wildllife Magazine, a 'World Encyclopedia of Moths and Butterflies', a children's book series 'The Trolls of Platt Wood', and creating imagery for Oxford University Press for their children's classics section, Hazel is currently focusing her attention on an educational set of natural history books for American publishers 'Red Line Editorial'.
Hazel's work offers a variety of approaches leading from subtle scientific studies, to the quirky and lovable, often coupled with the unusual and atmospheric.
