Heather Powers
I work with a traditional block printing method combined with the convience of digitally delivered artwork. I use modern materials that allow me to carve the blocks very quickly. Bright colors, bold lines and quirky characters are the hallmarks of my style.
I studied Fine Art painting, drawing and printmaking at Kendall College of Art & Design where I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree.
I've illustrated for magazines and educational publishers.
I'm a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers & Illustrators and the Regional Advisor for the Southwest Texas chapter.
