Russ Daff
Since graduating from Falmouth School of Art in 1993 Russ Daff has enjoyed a varied career. Working in the Computer Games industry from 1995-2001 has given him a strong sense of Character design and impact, which he now incorporates in his illustration work.
His imaginative and stylised images vary in both theme and execution. For educational and more technical briefs digital tools are used to portray a clean and bold cartoon style that is bright and modern. For more textural subject matter such as myths or fantasy for children traditional mediums are utilised in a sumptuous technique blending markers, watercolour and soluble pencils.
With an extensive body of work he has developed a quirky and humorous style that fears no subject or application. From editorial to sci-fi and children’s books Russ Daff can bring any brief to life, resulting in a memorable piece of artwork that will not be ignored.
Russ Daff resides in Cambridge England but considers himself as a very international artist whose work has a global appeal.
