Amanda Shepherd is the illustrator of four books -
Rules of the Wild by Bridget Levin, Who Loves Me by
Patricia MacLachlan, and Fiona Loves the Night also by
Patricia MacLachlan and Emily Charest Maclachlan and
Such a Silly Baby by Chronicle Books.
Rules of the Wild was a 2004 Minnesota Children's
Book Awards finalist. Her work was featured at the
Original Art Show at the Society of Illustrators in 2005
and 2007. Fiona Loves the Night is listed with a starred
review in Publishers Weekly August 2007. Amanda was
a recipient of the 2007 Ezra Jack Keats/Kerlan Collection
Memorial Fellowship Grant from the University of
Minnesota.
Amanda is a member of the Artist's Trust of the State of Washington,
the Iditarod Trail Committee, and a participant in the Arizona Arts
Community.
Originally from the Seattle area, she lives in Arizona with her wildly creative
husband Gary and Polly the baby cat - who is not really a baby cat anymore.
