Amy Schimler
My background is in textile design and fiberarts. Designing textile prints for
children's clothing followed a natural progression to children's illustration.
I love playing with color, textures, and patterns. I mostly enjoy mixed media and
collage. When I am not playing in my studio you can find me taking long walks,
behind a camera lens, combing flea markets, sitting by the ocean, people
watching, and daydreaming.
Some of my recent clients include Target, Baby Gap, Hallmark, American
Greetings, Pottery Barn, Highlights, Piggy Toes Press, Ladybird Books, and Little
Simon.
