Karen Lee majored in illustration at the Columbus College of Art and Design in Columbus, Ohio. She is the illustrator of One Odd Day and My Even Day, (Sylvan Dell Publishing), awarded Learning Magazine's Teacher's Choice Award for 2008, and My Half Day (Sylvan Dell Publishing). Her author/illustrated book ABC Safari (Sylvan Dell Publishing) was awarded the Annual Moonbeam Awards Bronze Medal for ABC/counting books for 2008. She is also the recipient of the 2004 SCBWI Magazine Merit Award for Illustration and runner-up for the 2005 Don Freeman Memorial Grant. She is a frequent contributor to Highlights For Children Magazine. Karen and her husband are currently raising their family outside of Raleigh, North Carolina.
