Kieren Dutcher is drawn to gouache resist by her affinity for its graphic black line and continuous surprises. She has a degree in graphic design from the California College of Arts & Crafts, and has worked as a graphic artist, illustrator, and art teacher. She lives in Oakland, CA, with her family and a mischievous Welsh corgi.
