Shennen Bersani
Shennen Bersani recently finished illustrating "My Sister, Alicia May" which was written by Nancy Tupper Ling, and is due for release on April 1, 2009. Her editor for this book, Jean Marie Cochran from Pleasant Street Press found Shennen on childrensillustrators.com. In this book, Ms. Bersani brings two special sisters to life with heart-felt art influenced by true life experience. Ms. Bersani grew up with and raised Holly, her real life sister who has Down syndrome. Another illustration assignment Shennen received from childrensillustrators.com was from Crowley Robinson Publishing Ltd. It was for an ocean pop-up book which was recently released in Spain under the title En el océano and in Italy under the title Creature dell' oceano.
 
Alicia Padrón
Alicia Padrón is pleased to announce that two of her books are now available thanks to enquiries driven directly through childrensillustrators.com. The first, entitled "I Love You All Year Round" by Shella Shubuck is a pop-up book published by Piggy Toes Press. The second, entitled "The Wish Trees" by Andrea Koehle Jones is rooted in the idea that every child can help make the world a better place and a portion of profits from sales of this book will be donated to children's environmental projects.

Aimee Ray has continued to find success since the August launch of her first book, "Doodle-Stitching", a how-to book of contemporary embroidery designs which she both authored and illustrated.
 
Karen Donnelly
Karen Donnelly recently enjoyed working with new British company, RealReads, who specialise in re-telling classic stories for young independent readers. She illustrated four Dickens titles; Oliver Twist, David Copperfield, A Christmas Carol and Great Expectations which were published Christmas 07. Paul Sharp
Paul Sharp was busy illustrating two new games in 2007; "Boo Who" from Megabrands Inc, a ghostly board game for ages 4+, and "King Toad" from Gamewright Games, a fun card game which helps hone quick counting as well as non-verbal skills. He is also proud to announce that "King Toad" subsequently won the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Gold Award.
 
Janet Kusmierski
Janet Kusmierski is pleased to announce her third illustrated children's book "My Alien Friend", published by Yeowon Media, Tan Tan Books. Andy J Smith
Andy J Smith is proud to announce that his first two picture books, published by Zonderkids, will be released this summer. "Stink Bug Saves the Day", "Bug Saves the Day" and "The House that Went Ker-Splat" are the first books in the four part Bug Parables series, written by bestselling author, Bill Myers. Andy also recently created an animated kids music video for the upcoming Jingle Punks DVD series and has been busy creating illustrations for High Five and Your Big Back Yard magazines and Stone Arch Books. The fifth graphic novel in the Buzz Beaker series, "Wind Power Whiz Kid" will also be released this summer.

Jon Higham
Jon Higham has been a regular contributor to the BBC's children’s weekly magazine CBeebies Weekly since its 2006 launch, designing double page sticker spreads. Stephen Aitken is proud to announce that his latest book, "Pokiri Parrot and the Needle-nosed Ojha", was recently published (March 2008) by Katha Books of New Delhi India. Written by Meenakshi Bharadwaj, it follows the story of a smart white parrot called Pokiri who is whisked away by the wicked needle-nosed Ojha while the heroine, Rajkumari pursues with a passion to save her precious parrot.
 
 
Connie McLennan
Connie McLennan recently provided illustrations for two new books, "River Beds, Sleeping in the World's Rivers" from Sylvan Dell Publishing, releasing August, 2008 and "Whose Nest is This?" for NorthWord Books for Children, releasing in 2009. She is also due to start work on a project for Usborne Publishing, who found her via childrensillustrators.com.

Jim Caputo
Jim Caputo was commissioned by Scholastic Book Fairs in Lake Mary, Florida to illustrate their 2008 Book Fair Safari. The project involved creating 14 character illustrations of a variety of safari animals dressed as kids. Each animal represents a different type of book reader between the ages of 9-13 years old.
 
Courtney Autumn Martin
Courtney Autumn Martin recently completed 13 double-page spreads for a new children's picture book entitled, "Ballots for Belva". The book tells the true story of equal rights activist Belva Lockwood, the first woman to officially run for President in 1885. Written by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen, it is to be published by Abrams Books For Young Readers in Sept 08. This is Courtney's first picture book.

Claire Louise Milne illustrated a levelled reader for Scholastic Canada titled "A Friend for Mr. Granville", after the editor spotted her work on childrensillustrators.com. She is currently illustrating 5 picture books for ESL students for the South Korean publisher "Happy House".

Bryn Barnard
Bryn Barnard has been working on two new projects. The first was to provide illustrations for a book entitled "Dinosaurs" for Intervisual which has now been published. The second, entitled "The Land of Smaerd", is a picture book that will be published by KnowWonder in Sept 2008 and Bryn worked closely with the author, Andrea von Botefuhr, to breathe visual life into her words.

Sherry Neidigh has been busy working on a picture book titled "The Best Nest" written by Doris Mueller which was published in March 08 by Sylvan Dell. The book is a clever retelling of an old English folktale and teaches the importance of careful listening.
 
Sue Todd
Sue Todd has designed a Nepalese board game, "Tigers and Goats", part of a collection for Klutz press entitled "The 15 Greatest Board Games in the World", published 2008. She also has illustrations appearing in educational collections published by Pearson Education Canada, MacMillan/McGraw-Hill School Division and Scholastic Canada.
 
 
Joan Charles
Joan Charles has been commissioned for two interesting jobs since joining childrensillustrators.com in October. The first was to illustrate "The Wild Wood of Windyrook" for Scholastic UK's "Education Plus" online edition (six black and white illustrations). The second was a two-page spread for an upcoming Halloween book and CD-ROM for Dover Publications. Joan has found the site to be a cost-effective way to increase visibility and has been a valuable promotional tool.

Sarah Nayler recently completed illustrations for three new books: "What's So Special about Shakespeare" and "What's So Special about Dickens" written by Michael Rosen; And "Flash Harriet and the loch Ness Monster" written by Karen Wallace.

Ruth Rivers
Ruth Rivers was commissioned by Walkers Books to illustrate the book, "Granddad's Bench" which deals with the sensitive subject of death and bereavement.
 
David Dean
David Dean has been working on illustrating a book entitled "The Last Leopard" for Orion Children's Books. It is the third in a four book series about a girl who is orphaned and sent to live on a wildlife reserve in South Africa, and the adventures she has there.
 
 
Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson has been working closely with MacMillan to illustrate "Peter Pan - Jigsaw Puzzle Book". He was commissioned to illustrate eighteen full colour illustrations, consisting of six full page images plus two vignettes per page throughout the rest of the book. In addition to the book itself, the illustrations were also to be used on jigsaw puzzles.
 
Ingela Peterson
Ingela Peterson greatly enjoyed a recent project working for KappAhl, a clothing company who approached her to illustrate a new children's range. In addition to the clothing illustrations, which needed to be very colourful and involved a variety of different animals, KappAhl also commissioned Ingela to create a children’s book based on the animals in the clothing design.
 
 
Andres Martinez Ricci
Andres Martinez Ricci recently completed a project for Red Line Editorial, United States. The commission involved providing illustrations for their Science Books Series entitled "Science Rocks!". The series set has six books in total, each are 32 pages long, consisting of fully illustrated spreads on each page.
 
Laure Fournier
Laure Fournier was asked to illustrate the book, "My First Prayers", published by Frances Lincoln. In total, she illustrated 24 pages of this children's book aimed at 3-6 year olds.
 
 
Kelly Waldek
Kelly Waldek was commissioned to illustrate "The Big Purple Wonderbook", published by Evans. In total, she supplied 18 full colour images for this 48 page book aimed at 7-10 year olds. This book forms part of the Skylarks series, designed to appeal to older children.
 
Carol Liddiment
Carol Liddiment has been busy working on illustrating a book for Scholastic entitled "Happy Birthday Bear" which is the second picture book she has collaborated on with writer Richard Edwards. Due for publication in Aug 08, it is a fully illustrated, 32 page colour picture book, aimed at 3-6 year olds and is also scheduled to be released in other territories such as Korea, France and Turkey.

Anja Boretzki
Anja Boretzki has been busy working on a variety of projects. For example, she designed a set of cards for German publisher, Verlag an der Ruhr which elementary school teachers can give to their pupils as a reward for good behaviour (12 cards will build a complete picture). She has also been designing "make your own" cards and wrapping paper for Rannenberg & Friends, Hamburg. In addition, Anja has been receiving regular commissions for SPICK, a magazine for students in Switzerland, which largely involve illustrating the monthly quiz or puzzles.
 
Sophie Allsopp
Sophie Allsopp has illustrated "First Easter" and "First Christmas" titles for Lion Hudson. Sophie continues to be much in demand both from publishers in the UK and USA.
 
 
Hannah Cumming
Hannah Cumming is busy creating new ideas for a major publisher and since her graduation last year has produced illustrations for Brightday Publishing.
