I knew I wanted to be an illustrator when I was 5 years old, except that I didn't know what an 'illustrator' was. I just knew I wanted to draw pictures of things and people and make them look 'real'. I also loved to color (and always stayed inside the lines.)

I went to The Academy of Art in San Francisco where I did learn to draw and make things look 'real'.

I've had the pleasure of working with Scholastic, Houghton Mifflin, Harcourt, Sundance, Innovative Kids, Highlights, Zaner-Bloser, EECI as well as others.

I do a variety of styles, from simple 'shapey' watercolors to lush detailed colored pencil. I'm now starting to work digitally using Painter, and loving it.
