Sharon graduated from the University of Wisconsin Stout with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. She sold her colorful paintings at local galleries, juried art fairs and shops until 2007. Including the Edina Art Fair, Edina's Fall into the Arts Festival and Red Hot Art. Since then her focus has been on the whimsical world of children's illustration. She is currently a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators and the Children's Book Illustrators Guild.

Sharon's illustrated journals, 'There's An Iguana On My Roof!' and 'Nightmare' can now be found at the Brooklyn Art Library and on tour around the United States. Sharon has illustrated for Stories for Children Magazine, the Minnesota chapter of the SCBWI, Project Openbook, the Ripple Sketches blog, and the popular websites They Draw and Cook/Travel.

She was also the 2009 winner of the MNSCBWI mentorship award with illustrator Carrie Hartman.

And most importantly Sharon just completed her first two book contracts. 'Mary Rode to Bethlehem On Me' with author Ivan Jensen and 'Maya Monkey' for Denise Ryan and Associates. These books will be published later in 2012!
